Questions parents ask
What age are letter tracing worksheets for?
Most children start tracing letters between 3 and 5 years old (Pre-K and Kindergarten). The large size suits beginners; medium and small sizes suit Grades 1–3.
Should children learn capital or lowercase letters first?
Many teachers start with capitals because they are made of simple straight lines and curves, then add lowercase letters. PaperKid lets you print capitals, lowercase or both on the same page.
Are these worksheets free?
Yes. Every PaperKid worksheet is free to make, download as a PDF and print at home or school. No sign-up is needed; signing in with Google only adds syncing of saved worksheets and progress.
